The Sure Power 41222 is a remote enabled, step-up DC to DC voltage converter powered from a 12 volt charging source. It is designed to provide a nominal fixed output voltage of 2 times the input voltage at an output current of 10 amps continuous when the input voltage is between 6 and 16 volts (see voltage profile in electrical characteristics). In addition, a switched output is provided to match the logic of the 12V-enable signal.

Protection is provided against input reverse polarity, short circuit (1), over voltage, under voltage, and over load conditions. Internal thermal protection forces a gradual reduction of available output power in order to keep unit temperatures within a safe level (see electrical characteristics).

A sealed case provides protection against chemicals and corrosive materials, such as fuels and cleaners.
